In 1967, a Cinema Novo film depicting the poor suburbs of Brasília was banned by its sponsors. After a surprise screening, Joaquim Pedro de Andrade decided to hide the copy. Forty-five years later, a new film crew searches for clues about the film’s production, censorship, and the disappearance of the original to uncover why the modernist avant-garde never reached the suburbs and to discover what truly happened. Directed by Getsemane Silva.
